Year 3 is a new milestone for the pupils as they are streamed from different year 2 classes into their new classes. Thus the focus of the orientation programme was a time for the pupils to learn and work together so as to build up the class spirit. As such it was centered around learning the ropes of leadership as we prepare them to take over from their seniors.
Form Teachers worked closely with their classes during the oreintation and through the workshop-style programme, form a closer bond with the students and were able to identify potential leaders that would take on class leadership. For the students, they had the platform to get to know new friends as they understood and practised the basis of leadership – that they have to first be leader of themselves. |
